Frequently Asked Questions

What sort of security do you have on-site or at the entrance to Maes Mynan Park?

  • We have a range of security in place at Maes Mynan Park because we believe in offering peace of mind to holiday homeowners when they are not staying on site.
  • We have iron gates set in stone walls at the separate entrances of both the lodge park and the static caravan park – on opposite sides of the unclassified county highway. Behind the iron gates is a barrier that currently works on a fob system.
  • We also have recording cameras working 24/7 at the entrance and on the reception office building. The cameras are located to capture the entrance and road both in daylight hours and at night.
  • The office is situated at the entrance and overlooks both lodge and static caravan park entrances.

Pictures look fantastic by the way. Other than the lodges shown are these taken from a reception building of some description?

  •  Yes – our office is quite spectacular, with the best views from my desk. It is a solid log construction and really enhances the aesthetics of Maes Mynan Park.
  • We are told that the photos we take are a true and realistic overview of the location and its special ambiance.

Bespoke Lodges Available At Maes Mynan Park | North Wales
Bespoke Lodge – Omar Wessex – Our Oak Leaf Lodge

Can I create my very own lodge?

  • Yes. We work with a number of lodge manufacturers so that you may customise a design or create a new lodge from scratch.
  • As choice can be overwhelming we help you on that journey step by step.
  • Once you have decided on your lodge plot and have paid a 10% deposit, we will then be able send your instructions to the manufacturer of your choice to create the full CAD drawing and Spec sheet for your amendment and final approval. The 10% deposit is calculated on the base price of the lodge you choose. Once the full specification has been compiled you will know how much each addition is to your bespoke or customised lodge and this is added to the base price we will have already given you. The next instalment for your lodge will be 50% of the final price at the time of order. The balance for your lodge will become due and payable 14 days before dispatch.
  • Transport, siting and connection will be an additional cost as will the decking and should be included in your budget for a bespoke or customised lodge.

  • Cat owners should ensure their cat is insured when holidaying at their holiday home.
  • All cat fouling must be collected and disposed of hygienically.
  • All pets are the total responsibility of their owners and if they are guests of a holiday home owner, then they too are responsible for their welfare and behaviour whilst on Park.

Are there any other amenities on the site, or do you have any planned?

  • Maes Mynan Park is set in over 100 acres of countryside and it is adjacent to woodlands that have public footpaths running through them.

  • Both the lodge park and static caravan park overlook the Clwydian Range (a designated area of outstanding natural beauty – AONB), which offers ample opportunities to explore.
  • Caerwys, as the smallest town in the UK with a royal Charter, has 2 shops, a butchers, post office, pharmacy, dog groomers, vets, café, 2 pubs (1 x eatery and 1 x drinking/sports bar with live music).
  • Caerwys is within walking distance of Maes Mynan Park on a safe off road woodland public footpath (takes 20 mins to walk, 5 mins by car).
  • There are takeaway options from the cafe and Piccadilly Inn in Caerwys.
  • Caerwys Central Stores will also deliver to Maes Mynan Park and we are happy for supermarkets to deliver to reception, especially in these current COVID-19 times.
  • We may erect an amenity social building at some point in the future, which can be booked by holiday homeowners who wish to utilise the space. This building will be in a similar style to our solid log office. This building will allow holiday homeowners to entertain, or get together outside of their lodges and caravans. It will have dining, kitchen and lounge areas, making it easy to feel comfortable and ‘at home’. It will also offer an intimate space for small self catered events, including ‘gin nights’ run by a local Artisan Gin Maker. However, this will be sometime into the future, especially with the COVID-19 restrictions, but it is on the drawing board.
  • There will be no shop or bar onsite.
  • For outdoor adventure there are other opportunities for outside independent specialists to develop tours and skills based on holiday homeowners wants and desires.
  • We are always seeking out businesses who will support our holiday homeowners locally and we add them to our website when we find them under On The Doorstep
